Youth Track

Pickleball is becoming a space where relationships are built and opportunities emerge—much like golf has been for generations.

The Youth Track focuses on introducing East Austin-area youth to the sport in a way that is welcoming, accessible, and community-centered.

This is about more than pickleball.
It’s about ensuring the next generation has access to the spaces where connection, leadership, and opportunity take shape.

Youth Track Events in 2026

We are partnering with Major League Pickleball to bring East Austin youth to see the top pickleball players in the world!  They converge at Austin Pickle Ranch from Thursday 6/11 through Sunday 6/14, battling it out in the unique team format that is MLP.

June/July - Youth Pickleball Camps

We will join with Austin PARD, Rosewood Park, and other key stakeholders to teach East Austin youth the basics of pickleball - the rules, the unique scoring system, and how to play.  Each camp will end with a tournament to crown champions in different age divisions and levels!

This will build momentum towards ...

Pickleball In Schools

Our long-term goal is to work with AISD and other schools to have pickleball become a standard part of every P.E. curriculum, so that all the youth in East Austin become proficient!

Why is this important?

Because pickleball is the new golf!  The executives, leaders, and influencers of the future will be holding informal (but important) meetings not on the 9th green, but between pickleball games.

And our youth need to be "in the room where it happens" ... unlike golf, where the Black population was mostly excluded from the conversation.
